This flooring comes from logs recovered from rivers all throughout the southeast. When our ancestors were building America only the finest lumber would do. This is why the forests of the Southeast were so attractive. It contained longleaf pines over three hundred years old as well as cypress trees over one thousand years old that were solid heartwood. These logs were dragged to the nearest river where the denser logs sank. These are the logs Mississippi Antique Flooring mills, which yields the highest quality of river-reclaimed flooring.
